Aquaponic - Ongula's new garden

Fresh and organic food becomes more and more important in the Hospitality industry.
Ongula Lodge want to serve only the best to their guests and that means fresh products and self-cultivated vegetables are a standard. We were looking for a project, which can give us the opportunity to cultivate our own vegetables, reduce the water consumption and to involve the community in gardening.

Aquaponic is the perfect system to cover the needs of our guests and the community. We started to set up an Aquaponic project at Ongula mid of June 2016. The entire Lodge team is happy to see the salad and cabbage growing without chemicals, no fertilizer and no waste of water.

We hope to harvest our first salad in the next weeks and serve a delicious organic meal to our guests and staff.
