How much does it cost?
The cost of the project varies depending on the length of your stay and on the program you choose. Please email email@example.com for how long for you would like to volunteer / experteer with us and we'll get back to you with the cost for your memorable experience.
How long can I stay for?
You can stay for a minimum of one week up to a maximum of twelve weeks. All you need to do now is decide when you want to join us for the project and how long you want to spend at an authentic cultural village!
Are there any age limits?
We welcome volunteers / experteers from all countries across the world, minimum 18 years, maximum decided on health conditions of potential participant.
Where will I be staying?
You will be staying in a basic furnished yurt situated at the campsite of the lodge. The accommodation is on a secure property and is comfortable and spacious place to call home while on your project. You may share your room with 1-3 other participants as on yurt caters for 4 and bathrooms are communal.
Do I need a visa?
Yes, you do need a visa. Arranging your visa is your responsibility and the information we provide is to serve as a guideline only. We advise that you confirm this information with the embassy/consulate of the country that you will be visiting in your country before departure.

What’s not included in the cost?
Transportation to / from Ondangwa from / to Windhoek
Personal travel insurance (medical aid etc.) for the duration of your assignment – must include cover for repatriation.
All items of a personal mature, such as curios, gifts, clothing (work and other).
Email and telephone calls made during your assignment.
Any activities and excursions outside of your planned project itinerary.
Soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, snacks, toiletries.
Project fee – this goes directly back into the project that you are involved with. It facilitates funding for items such as resources, building materials, equipment and project supplies. It also covers operational costs such as housing, communication and project vehicles.

Is the project running the whole year?
The project is running the whole year except August and December for volunteering.
Experteering is possible throughout the year as you teach at the Ongula Community Development centre.
How do I get to the project?
You can fly from Windhoek national/domestic airport (Eros) to Ondangwa airport or you can come by bus, we recommend Intercape from Windhoek to Ondangwa.
We will transfer you to the project site at the lodge, Ongula Ya Netanga from Ondangwa Airport or Ondangwa Town if you come by road.
What weather can I expect?
Namibia's climate is typical of semi-desert terrain, hot days and cool nights. With 300+ days of sunshine on average per year, Namibia is truly a sunny place. Only during the summer months does rain occur, mostly as heavy thunderstorms and often for only a couple of minutes. Rain in Namibia is very local.
Summer is from October to April. Temperatures can reach 40° C and plummet at night to cool levels. Average daily temperatures range from 20 to 34° C. Rainfall usually occurs between November and March, when heavy but short thunderstorms can be expected.
Winter is from May to September with wonderful warm days which are contrasted by very cold nights, when temperatures often drop to below freezing so please bring warm clothing. Average temperatures range from 6°C to 21°C.
What vaccinations do I need?
There are no mandatory vaccinations required.

What else is there to see in Namibia?
Namibia is a beautiful country with a stunningly diverse array of landscapes. Make the most of your time in this amazing country by combining your project with a tour. Depending on your time and budget, you can choose to go for a weekend trip. You could visit the dense bush and open plains of Etosha National Park, the third largest in Africa, for spectacular game viewing (3 day tour available).
